Bolivia Trapiche

The Rodriguez family pioneers in Bolivia’s coffee industry, started their journey over 30 years ago by operating a washing station. However, when coffee production faced significant declines, they decided to venture into cultivation, focusing on producing high-quality coffee through modern estate management.

Samaipata’s coffee exhibited a very distinct character. In 2016, Pedro purchased this plot of land (Trapiche) for cultivation and planted many different coffee varieties, including Bourbon, Java, Geisha, SL28/34, Batian and so on with the hope of bringing greater diversity to Bolivia’s coffee production. In 2019, it was the first harvest for this estate, so all the coffee was considered “Baby Plant,” yet it displayed remarkably impressive flavors.
