sourcing notes. Finca El Puente is located in Marcala, La Paz, Honduras. It is the only Central American country with no active volcanoes which means growing coffee is extra difficult, sometimes a challenge against all odds. El Puente means ‘bridge’ and quite literally as we crossed a big, red bridge to get to the farm. Once there, years of care & expertise are plain for all to see. Shade trees and well-planned farm management have given the cherries more biodiversity and support in their growing environment.
